Leather Box

Hi everybody,
I am often asked to donate goods for fundraisers of all kinds. I usually like to make a container filled with items from the store. Theatre for Young Audiences is holding a gala April 8, 2016 at the Culinary Institute in Sheboygan. Pictured is the leather box I created and it will be filled with items from the store including one Zip+Sip workshop. Don't forget, April 9, 2016 is our second class. Cottage Birdhouse. This is the perfect craft with Spring at our doorstep! Sign up today!

Cut Up

Hi everybody,
For years I've been wanting to make a throw with super bulky yarn, but I didn't want it to cost as much as my first car, so I came up with the idea to cut cotton quilt batting into one long strip approximately 3/4" wide. Not the best idea if don't have lots of time or patients! It took about five hours to cut a king size sheet and another four to five to crochet. Size is about 48" x 45". I love the way it looks and feels. Not sure if I should put it in the store for sale, make it into a quilt, or keep and use as is. I also made another from soft yarn that turned out beautiful. That will be another post another time. Your input is always appreciated and welcome!

Pot Party

Hi everybody,
Yesterday's magazine pot workshop was a blast! I think we could have rolled and glued for another hour or two, but as life is busy for all, we made plans for another workshop and went our separate ways. Next Zip+Sip is April 9, 2016 at 12:00. We will be making a cottage birdhouse. Visit www.zipperstudio.net for details on all our scheduled classes, but don't forget, you can schedule a Project Party any Monday through Saturday after store hours. Happy, happy week!

Mirror Mirror

Hi everybody,
You may remember I started a couple projects on our last road trip. Finished the mittens and headband with matching pin from last post and I'm happy to announce they have sold! I'm  inclined to make another set, but need to finish a few other projects first. I did however, complete the mirror I started on the same trip. Looks kind of nautical don't you think? Only $24.99!
Lots of irons in the fire so stay tuned!
February 13th is our first Zip+Sip and there are five maybe four spots left. Sign up soon! 12:00-2:00 fun and refreshments are FREE!

Winter Wear

Hi everybody,
When I travel, I must always have a project to work on and most times it is crocheting. On the fifteenth we attended my aunt's funeral in Kenosha (may she rest in peace) and here are two of the things I was able to complete. The decoration on the headband has a pin back, therefore can be removed and used as a brooch. Sold seperatly or as a set. Soft, warm and cozy! Check out our website for all our Zip+Sip workshops or contact the store at 457-4213 for details and dates. Happy, happy week!
