Try This!

Good morning,
I recommend you try this at home. I hooked up with Nicole Denton of the plunge project so brides or anyone really, could make their own bouquet, center piece or arrangement. Check it out and don't forget to stop at Emil Mazy Saturday if you are in the area. Until Sunday then!

New Found Friends

Good morning all,
I'm always looking for new ways to get Greenpurse in the publics eye. A Mr. Tom Corson-Knowles posted a query about struggling entrepreneurs and I responded. He was kind enough to share my story on his blog 1000 ways to start a business. Lots of interesting things there. Anothter great site is Showcasing Women by Suzanne Duret. She suggested I send her my story to be showcased and that's exactly what I did. Again, lots of interesting and inspiring articles there. Thanks to both Tom and Suzanne and have a happy, happy week!

Vera Bradley Bird

Good Ash Wednesday morning,
Lots going on this month. I've been busy creating many new things in preparation for the shows and classes I'll be attending. I think perhaps I'll contact Vera Bradley and see what they do with their cut offs and maybe together we could do a promotion to serve some charitable organizations. Not yet posted to gpurse.com, but if interested in purchasing one, please contact me via email at green.purse79@yahoo.com, cost is $18. Until Sunday then!

Bookworm Gardens

Good morning all,
Looking for something fun to do? How about joining me at Bookworm Gardens for a purse making class? Executive Director Deb Denzer and I thought the pocket purse would be a great project to start out with what we hope to be a multitude of classes this year. Pictured is a purse made from a pair of old jeans, but any pockets work nicely. Below is the link to sign up. Hope to see you on April 2nd. Happy, happy week!

Pick me, pick me!

Good morning all,
I was sent an invitation last week to enter a contest for design. The store is US Trendy and the prize is $1000 cash and $1000 to use to promote your product. You can enter up to five items and naturally I did. It's a cool site and I plan to visit it daily to scope out the competition. I'm hoping my blog today will get me at least one vote...so Mom, here is the link.http://www.ustrendy.com/spring-competition Happy, happy week!

Key to My Heart

Good morning all,
These necklaces may have been a great item to advertise for Valentine's Day using the title of my blog as the name. I've been told not to do the things in your own business you don't like in others. For example, I can't stand it when they say free up front only to find out after filing out a lengthy form or jumping through hoops, there are taxes, fees, shipping, handling, etc. I also get frustrated when I'm shopping for a summer dress and all I can find are Christmas ornaments and winter coats. That being said, I pretty much suck at getting my creations out to the public in a timely manner. Oh well, there is always next year and another holiday. I'll work on that. Zipper and key products can now be found on gpurse.com as well as Re-Cards™ greeting cards. As always, your comments and suggestions are welcome and appreciated. Happy, happy week!
