SVA
Their is a group in my area called SVA, Sheboygan Visual Artists. A very good friend of mine is a member and asked if I would consider doing a canvas for their Small Works Project (I actually did two!). You receive a 8" x 10" canvas and get to work. The panels are exhibited at the EBCO Artworks building from January through June. June 25, 2010 the panels will be for sale by claim ticket for just $20. For more information and to view the panels or get your panel, go to http://www.sheboyganvisualartists.com. Happy, happy week!

Green Giving
Good morning all,
Lent has arrived and is a time for fasting, abstinence and giving. As most of you probably know, I donate 10% of all sales to a charity for abused children. In addition, I search out events having to do with children or the environment and send an auction item or two. I do on occasion receive requests for donations for a number of causes. Most recently I responded to a query for Going Green Film Festival in LA and sent a nice big book bag to the Fallbrook Youth Baseball team in Fallbrook, CA. If you know of a child or children that could benefit from these donations contact Tina at green.purse79@yahoo.com. Happy, happy week!

Make a Monster
I'm throwing around the idea of starting a Make a Monster workshop. I've been wanting to try something like this for quite some time and with the Haitian's needing help, this could be the very thing to do to help the children there. I've tried to get feedback from two sources with no luck. The HARO site won't run my query because I do not meet the Alexa standards and Reporter's Source has not gotten back with me. I'm searching out a few more but haven't been successful. I'll keep trying! In the meantime, I would appreciate any thoughts you have and as always, happy, happy week (and Valentine's)!

Not Diddly Squat
Good morning Greenies!
I'm often asked to donate to groups or charities and am especially happy to give to those that involve our youth. As most of you may or may not know, Greenpurse donates 10% of all sales to a charity for abused children. As my father once said "you can't beat kids". (Actually he said it a lot!) The Seattle University is producing a play called Greensquat, using all "green" materials. They found me on the web and asked for a donation which I was happy to comply. Check out their page at http://www.seattleu.edu/events/detail.asp?sID=27988. Sounds very cool! Stay tuned and happy, happy week!
