Resources for Entrepreneurs
I was asked to do an interview with Gaebler.com, a very bright and interesting business that assists companies in shaping the future. They call themselves a business incubator and holding company and are located in Chicago. The interview was held via email with a number of background questions and of course specifics with regards to Greenpurse. The interview should post in a couple weeks, so stayed tuned, http://www.gaebler.com. Happy, happy week!

Green Bride Guide
I am now a member of the Green Bride Guide, http://www.thegreenbrideguide.com. This is a cool site where you can plan, share, and explore green wedding ideas. It almost makes me want to do it all over again (with the same guy of course)! Vendors are rated by leaves (5 being the highest) indicating their commitment to the environment and green practices. If you are taking the plunge or know someone who is, I recommend the Green Bride Guide as a great resource. Happy, happy week!

New Year's Business Resolution
I am sent 3 emails a day (Monday through Friday) from HARO. That is an acronym for Help a Reporter Out. In these emails I get queries from bloggers, reporters and writers of all kinds. They are searching for sources to help them write their piece. I respond to all I can in regards to "green" and small business or entrepreneurship. Wayne's query was business resolutions. I found out he included my piece through another respondent. It is a good blog and I find it always inspiring to read about or hear other entrepreneurs speak about their business. Here is the link in case the enclosure did not work. Keep your eyes on gpurse.com. Lot's of changes happening and great bargains! Happy, happy week!

What does QVC stand for?
QVC is an acronym for quality, value and convenience. It may also stand for "green". I've been asked to submit a quote to them for 1500 sweater bags! The image is the original bag I sent them and the one I'm using as a model. It is awfully cute! It is also very exciting and scary at the same time. I may need to recruit the whole gang for supplies and additional help. I'll keep all posted and will include the outcome in my newsletter next month. Happy, happy week!

Merry New Year
Good morning to all on this very cold January 3rd, 2010. With the new year comes a new business approach. The material I showed last week is the technique I'll be using for all my creations this year. The image is a wallet made from using this technique. I will accommodate custom orders as well, but mainly focusing on this new idea. With the holidays and a few other things happening, my inventory is a little low, but my new year's resolution is to get a few things made, make some changes to the site, advertise and attend a few more shows. I may do a internet radio spot and make an appearance or two. Happy, happy New Year!
