Today's post updates you on gourds. As you may remember I planted in four areas, two of which produced HUGE plants with dozens of flowers. I almost was fearful at the amount of gourds I was to expect, but alas, only two have made it to maturity. Lots of the flowers just fell off and many others produced gourds about the size of an ornament. (Bing, another idea!) Now the choice will be to leave the gourds on the vines over the winter or to bring them in. Perhaps the best route would be to do some each way and see how they fair.
